Every day we strive to develop strong, confident Mentone Girls. In line with this goal, we are very excited by our vision to create a Wellbeing Precinct that will transform one-third of our physical campus.

The first stage of our Wellbeing Precinct began in 2014 with the completion of our Wellbeing Centre.  This involved the co-location of our School’s Health Centre and Psychology Service with our Physical Education and Sport departments. This Centre has enabled the opportunity for expert staff across the School to collaborate and experiment with traditional and non-traditional ways of supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our students, taking advantage of a new Mind Body Studio and fitness gym.

In 2017 and 2018 our Precinct plans will develop further with the proposal for a cutting-edge aquatic facility, followed by the future creation of extensive outdoor multipurpose playing fields and courts for hockey, tennis, soccer, netball and basketball. This will significantly enhance our sporting, teaching and learning capabilities leading to enhanced health and educational outcomes.

Once complete, the Wellbeing Precinct will be at the forefront of our health, sport and physical education programs. We understand how important physical activity is in relation to improved self-esteem, team work skills, energy levels, quality of sleep and concentration. In addition to these health benefits, the Precinct will ensure a high quality all-year training facility and support our continued sporting success across many areas.
