By Roslyn Holloway, Advancement Manager

On behalf of the School, I would like to extend my sincere thanks you all who contributed to the 2016 Annual Giving Program. Every donation, big or small, greatly assisted us in developing new and exciting initiatives for students, staff and Old Girls.

Our Digital Archives project is just one example of your valuable contributions and will enable our alumnae community with quick, user-friendly and global online access to the School’s heritage and history. The Digital Archives project celebrates our School’s proud history and makes our heritage available to current and past students, parents, and the broader community irrespective of where they are located. The system is interactive and enables you to comment on material, for example add names, details and dates in photographs. This, in turn, will enrich and enhance the School’s records and give the broader community more opportunities for ongoing engagement.

From 2017, the collections will include:

  • School Histories Collection
  • Spindrift Collection
  • WellRED Collection
  • Performing Arts Collection

To view these digital collections, please go to http://mentonearchives.net.

Access to images and content in some collections will require a Mentone Girls' Grammar School community login which is accessible via the above link or an existing student or staff login. Late in 2017 the following collections will also be added to the digital archive:

  • Alumnae Memory Collection: Photos, images and videos of the key events, people, and places that celebrate the School's history and achievements
  • Class and Team Photographs: Photos of classes as well as sporting and academic and house teams
