Social Inclusion Scholarship

Mentone Girls' Grammar School has made an ongoing commitment to supporting the empowerment of young women and the creation of a cohesive Australian society through its ‘Social Inclusion Project'. This is a whole School initiative of developing partnerships with refugee communities. One aspect of the Project is to provide the opportunity for a young female refugee to apply for a Scholarship to the School, thus gaining access to educational and leadership opportunities which they would otherwise not have.
For 2010, our focus is on our local Sudanese community in Melbourne and the Social Inclusion Scholarship will provide a young female refugee aged 14-16 years with a three year VCE Scholarship (Years 10 - 12 inclusive). Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and financial need.
Application Process
Scholarship applicants must submit an Application Form by FRIDAY 7 AUGUST 2009
Scholarship applicants must also be available to attend the Scholarship Testing Day on SATURDAY 15 AUGUST 2009
