Experiencing learning from within the BIG ART concept that we encoruage here at Mentone Girls' Grammar School is like an adventrure travelled, rather than a desination reached. We understand that a sincere involvement in the creative process has its own reward and we work with our students to maximise their creative journey across many different forms of visual communication. 

In our Simpson Arts Centre, we offer many specialist Art classes where students can develop skills in two or three dimensional image-making through drawing, painting, print-making, textiles, ceramics and photography.

Our high end multi-media lab and technology facilities also open up a world of digital creativity. Students meet professional artists, enjoy exhibitions in our own "Gallery 11" and visit other galleries to provide further opportunities for understanding and appreciating Art.

Each year Mentone Girls' Grammar School has Year 12 students successful in gaining entry to highly selective Art and Design courses.
