Mentone Girls’ Grammar is seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic part-time ELC Coeducator to join our Junior School team in January 2025.

Mentone Girls’ Grammar Early Learning Centre provides three and four-year-old kindergarten education programs, designed to prepare each girl for their journey into the Junior School and beyond. The ELC Team plays a crucial role in creating and fostering a positive and optimal learning environment for each girl and their families and we are very proud of the difference the team makes to the youngest members of our School Community. 

As a part-time ELC Coeducator you, will work as a collaborative team member alongside and with our ELC Teachers and ELC Co-educators, and under the supervision of the ELC Director. This role assists in providing a safe, inclusive environment and educational program to support students’ learning and wellbeing, with an understanding of the developmental needs of girls.

This position will suit candidates with a friendly, positive nature who will bring their creativity and genuine passion for early childhood education. They will nurture and believe in the potential of every girl in their care and strive to create a welcoming and stimulating learning environment that actively engages children in the learning process.

In this part-time ELC Coeducator position you will be available to work 15 hours per week (3 hours per day Monday to Friday) during term time.

The successful candidates will be available to work during term time (between 8.00-3.30pm).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree, Diploma (or Certificate III) in Children’s Services (Early Childhood)
  • Current Employee Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Compliance Certificates:
  • Anaphylaxis
  • First Aid
  • CPR
  • Asthma
