It is official, our Principal Fran Reddan has made the 2018 Educator Hot List after an Australia-wide search for talented, education professionals and leaders providing the highest quality educational experiences across the country.
Industry magazine The Educator today announced that Mrs Reddan was one of 53 “movers and shakers” in Australian education and deserving of inclusion in the prestigious, annual Hot List.
“In an industry rife with talent and strong leadership these 53 individuals are truly moving the needle for Australian education,” the announcement article said of the 2018 shortlisted educators chosen from “a raft of excellence nominations from across Australia”.
The announcement acknowledges Mrs Reddan’s exceptional work in 2018 and leadership in empowering women with innovative curriculum, staff development, enhancing the school’s enterprise culture and for trail blazing work in the area of wellbeing with the collaborative introduction of the first-of-its-kind SHE Journals for girls from Early Learning to Year 12.
Mrs Reddan said she was delighted to see the exceptional educational experiences at Mentone Girls’ Grammar School being recognised externally as among the best in the country.
“It’s very humbling, and also very gratifying, to be recognised as a catalyst for innovation and leadership, and to have more confirmation that what we deliver every day to our girls is providing thought leadership at a national level,” said Mrs Reddan.
“We have always had strong feelings that what we are striving to achieve here is exceptional and I am delighted to think that such a well-respected industry magazine agrees,” she added “especially from such an extensive number of nominations”.
