Dr Wells, a medical oncologist at the Royal Children's Hospital and former Miss Universe Australia, shared her inspiring journey, highlighting the importance of women supporting one another and celebrating each other’s successes. Our Year 12 Leaders also organised a student-led Assembly centred around the IWD theme "Inspire Inclusion," inviting some of our Junior School classes to join.
Finally our Deputy Principal, Ms Meg Adem, along with a small group of student leaders, represented our school at the International Coalition of Girls’ Schools IWD Breakfast held at Queen's Hall in Parliament House. Over 20 girls' schools were in attendance, and students and staff gained valuable insights from inspiring guest speakers, including Dr Katie Allen, former member of the House of Representatives and medical researcher.
International Women's Day provided a great opportunity to reflect on our ongoing commitment to nurturing an environment that empowers young women to realise their full potential every day.
