We are seeking an inspiring and dynamic Head of Languages to lead a passionate team of educators in delivering exceptional French, Japanese and Chinese programs at Mentone Girls’ Grammar. 

This key leadership position plays a pivotal role in shaping engaging, high-quality learning experiences that foster curiosity, global understanding, and a lifelong love of languages. This is a full-time position, commencing Term 1, 2026. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the Languages Department
• Inspire innovation in curriculum design and teaching practice
• Mentor and support teachers to achieve professional and student excellence
• Promote cultural awareness and student engagement across the School

Key Requirements

• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Bachelor of Education (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated ability to teach either French or Chinese First Language to VCE level
• Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to student growth, wellbeing, and innovative teaching practices
• Eligibility to work in Australia
