Arts

The Arts co-curriculum at Mentone Girls’ Grammar incorporates Performing Arts such as dance, drama, theatre studies and visual arts. This program allows our students to explore their individual artistic talents, experiment with self-expression and develop their self-confidence.

Throughout my 15 years as a student at Mentone Girls' Grammar, I have been given the opportunity to pursue my passions and become the best version of myself.

With the support of dedicated teachers, abundant resources, and a community of like-minded peers, I have been encouraged to pursue what I love, even when faced with challenges. I am truly grateful for the experiences and growth that the Performing Arts program has provided me.

House Drama Competition

Senior students participate in our annual House Drama competition where students write, rehearse, produce and perform a House play. This autonomy drives student leadership, independence and creativity.

At Mentone Girls’ Grammar, I have experienced a visual arts program that has truly nurtured my individuality and encouraged me to think outside the box.

Through this program, I've had the incredible opportunity to explore various creative mediums and research practices, allowing me to express myself freely and authentically. The support and guidance from my teachers has been instrumental in my growth, not only in developing artistic skills but also in preparing me to excel in year 12 and beyond.

Private Tuition

We take great pride in providing exceptional private Performing Arts tuition for our students. Our approach is centered around the expertise and passion of our specialist educators, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to each lesson. These lessons are held weekly and can be scheduled before, during and after school hours to accommodate students' schedules. Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Australian Music Examinations Board Exams (AMEB) for Music, Speech and Drama.
