Our 'known, seen and heard' approach is at the heart of everything we do.
Our principles and practices are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the International Baccalaureate's® Primary Years Programme (PYP).
This ensures we seek to foster the potential of each child by supporting their learning and development in relation to their identity, connection with the community, sense of wellbeing, confidence as learners and effectiveness as communicators.
We motivate our young learners to develop the confidence and capabilities to contribute to, and make a difference in the world around them and to dream BIG.
Our team of highly qualified early learning educators are dedicated to ensuring your daughter feels a strong sense of belonging and is nurtured, inspired and challenged to learn and develop the knowledge, skills and attributes she will need to flourish now and in her future.
THE PERFECT BLEND
Our ELC curriculum is enriched with a diverse range of specialist classes that are designed to further stimulate cognitive and physical development and build emotional and social intelligence. These classes run each week and are taught by specialist early years’ teachers. The classes include:
* Language - Mandarin
* Physical Education
Known, Seen and Heard
Our ELC students are nurtured and supported by highly qualified and passionate staff. Our team of specialist early years’ teachers, who are supported by dedicated co-educators, are also primary trained and therefore understand the needs of each student as they prepare for school.
Leading the Way
Our prime beachside location gives our girls the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the local environment through our Beach Kinder program.
Through this program, students explore the Mentone Beach foreshore, allowing them to develop an awareness of local and indigenous culture, the interdependence of living things and the impact of human choice in respect to the environment.
The opportunities to engage in nature and sensory play during Beach Kinder provides our young learners a myriad of physical, social and wellbeing benefits, and fosters their independence, healthy risk-taking and problem solving skills.
“I love reading books with my friends. Mr Owen reads us a story at the Library. We play fun games and do drawing. I like when we get to do Ballet and we wear ballet shoes. I love climbing outside and my teachers help me with the Lego.”
