With a strategic and moral commitment to empowering girls and ensuring every student is known, seen and heard, we seek to appoint an outstanding and relational Music Teacher to join our Junior School team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering a creative, engaging and inspiring Music Program, demonstrating both creativity and rigour in curriculum delivery. They will enjoy working collaboratively within a diverse, dynamic and committed team and bring a demonstrated capacity and passion for teaching Music in a primary school setting (ELC–6).
Mentone Girls’ Grammar has a strong Kodály-based classroom Music Program in the Junior School. The successful candidate will be trained in, or currently undertaking training towards, the Australian Kodály Certificate and will be committed to continuing and developing this established program.
At the heart of this role is a teacher who builds strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues, has a natural rapport with children and inspires students to engage, grow in confidence and achieve their best.
Experience in teaching strings or brass is essential.
This position is being offered as a part-time, ongoing role. The successful candidate will be able to commence in Term 1, 2027.
