We are seeking a Learning Support Officer to work across Years 7–12, supporting students to engage confidently and successfully in their learning. Working collaboratively with teachers, the successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing strategies that respond to individual learning needs across a range of subject areas.

This is a 0.60 FTE fixed-term position for the 2027 academic year.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in learning support, education support or a similar role, together with a genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their potential. They will be confident in supporting differentiated learning, providing individual and small-group assistance, and working collaboratively with teachers to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting students in a secondary school environment
  • Builds positive, trusting and respectful relationships with students
  • Works collaboratively with teachers to support differentiated learning and individual student needs
  • Has strong literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to support students across a range of subject areas
  • Communicates effectively with students, teachers and families
  • Demonstrates empathy, patience and a genuine care for the wellbeing and development of young people
  • Brings a mature, flexible and proactive approach to supporting students
  • Is committed to creating a warm, inclusive and safe learning environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their best
