Ms Hanlon began her career in education as a teacher of English, Literature and Politics and held several roles before joining Mentone Girls Grammar including Head of Student Leadership and Head of Year.
Ms Hanlon joined Mentone Girls Grammar at the beginning of 2018 as Head of English, where she led and developed the learning of all English, EAL and Literature students to ensure excellence, aiming to foster a love of the subject at every level.
Ms Hanlon commenced in the role of Head of Teaching and Learning in 2021 where she leads the Curriculum Committee, a team consisting of the Heads of Departments who are responsible for all aspects of the teaching and learning across all subject areas in the Senior School.
Ms Hanlon is a passionate advocate for life-long learning and believes in the transformative power of education as a means of empowering students to think critically, appreciate diversity and further develop empathy.
