Child Safety & Policies

Our Commitment To Child Safety

Mentone Girls’ Grammar (MGG) is a child safe organisation and has zero tolerance for child abuse.

We are committed to providing a child safe environment for all children which ensures their safety, health and wellbeing.

We will act promptly and sensitively when informed of a concern, an allegation or disclosure of child abuse, neglect, inappropriate behaviour or concern.

We actively work to listen to and empower our students.

Please refer to the Child Safety Framework documents which consist of the Child Safety Policy, Child Safety Code of Conduct and the Child Safe Response and Reporting Procedure.

Child Safety Framework Consultation

We started the process of reviewing our Child Safety Framework that encompasses the Child Safety Policy, the Child Safety Code of Conduct and the Child Safe Response and Reporting Procedure in January 2022 in line with the new Child Safety Standards.

Community Consultation for the Mentone Girls’ Grammar Child Safety Framework is open.

Mentone Girls’ Grammar values the ideas and opinions of our community, parents and carers, and interested parties and wants them to be a part of the decision-making process. We recognise that the policies and the decision making are enhanced when our community has an opportunity to provide input and express its expectations, aspirations and ideas.

We encourage everyone to get involved and help shape our Child Safety Framework by providing your valuable feedback via form below.
